Light is in the air!
Real-time volumetrics enables visually stunning effects like atmospheric haze, fog and participating media. Animated, procedural 3D noises and gradients give you full creative control over the appearance of volumes.
Move and Place Volumetrics in Your Scene!
Use volume objects to easily control the placement of your participating media. Choose between a volume layer or a cube: Volume layers let you place a layer of fog in your scene and control the transition between two media. The cube lets you define a volume that affects a very specific area. Each volume object comes with additional controls for volume noise.
Make Your Scene More Exciting
Control the appearance of the volume using animated, procedural 3D noises for density. Parameters like octaves, contrast and gradients give you substantial flexibility. Additional settings for animation and transformation invite you to experiment with limitless possibilities and give you the perfect tool to add the mysterious touch to your scene.
Individually control which lights contribute to the volumetrics lighting and shadows. Experiment with different light colors and intensities to create your desired look. Light and shadows from all direct light sources like spotlights, point lights, directional lights and area lights are calculated.
Did you know? Not only can light cast shadows into volumes, but volumes are able to cast shadows onto themselves and onto objects in your scene as well. If you want to create moody images and incredible atmospheres, this feature is what you need.
